Located inside the Ziibiwing Center is the ZIIBIWING CENTER GIFT SHOP. I was just amazed at the beautiful Indian crafts that they had here. Authentic paintings, sculptures, hand-made moccasins, leather belts, dream-catchers, beautiful cards, etc.
Janet brought me to a real neat Indian Craft Shop ZUBLER'Swhich had everything from Jewelry, Toys, gifts, Indian souvenirs, Moccasins and T-shirts.
While travelling M-55 at Houghton Lake on a Thursday afternoon, you will catch sight of Indian dancers on the grounds of Zubler's Indian Craft Shop. The Red Arrow Family of Mount Pleasant, members of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, have been coming to Houghton Lake to perform traditional dances since 1935. The shows are held in a natural setting beside The Gift Shop, every Thursday on the hour from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. during the summer (weather permitting).
Farmers from the Central Michigan area will sell their produce every Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the FARMER'S MARKET AT ISLAND PARK located downtown Mount Pleasant.
