Newaygo Travel Guide

This has been my favorite summer past time since high school. You simply gather up some friends and head down to the river for a relaxing 3-4 hour trip down the river.

You can rent tubes at Wisners Canoe Renatls in downtown Newaygo, if you do not have your own.

Things to remember: waterproof zip lock bags to keep important items dry and afloat in case of an accident. Rope to ties tubes together. Bring extra tube for your coolers and trash. Sunscreen, Sunglasses, water shoes, spare sheet to try over tubes to prevent burns (black rubber tubes can get very hot) radio, food and plenty of cold beverages, knife to cut rope.

Smuggler's Cove is located on Hess Lake and is even accessable by boat, they have 6 docks available to dock your boat.

The outdoor deck is awesome during the summer months. Try sipping some nice drinks and watch the sun go down.

The food is great here, and you can still get a decent prime rib dinner for $10.00. The rest of the food and menu are just as good.

Service is normally pretty good, but expect some delays during peak hours.
