Easy Street is attached to the Best Western Alpine Inn. It has big screen TVs tuned to sports channels and the usual neon, beer posters, sports posters, etc. The rum and coke was strong and average priced. This bar appeared to be very popular with some locals; unfortunately they were all friends with he girl behind the bar and she was so busy talking to them I never got a chance to order a second drink. I finally gave up. May try a differnt place next time I am in Gaylord.
Dress Code: Casual.
Frank's is a sports bar with TVs tuned to sporting events and the usual beer signs and posters. I enjoyed Frank's a bit more than Bennigan's. The atmosphere was much less formal and it was less crowded. The Rum and Coke was strong, and the staff friendly. They also have a wide variety of food available, not just the usual bar food. I did not try any but heard it is quite good.
Dress Code: I saw mostly jeans, T-shirts and other casual attire.
Bennigan's is a chain of bar and grills that is pretty consistently good. I did not eat here just got a Rum and Coke. The Rum and Coke was fine and the service was too.
Dress Code: I saw everything from jeans and T-shirts to a coat and tie.
Second City in Detroit, very fun!
Go to the Gem Theatre and see a play. They put on wonderful plays and the Gem itself has a lot of history, they were going to knock it down but decided to move the entire building because it is a historical landmark!
The City of Detroit is on a Comeback with the New
additions of some Casinos. The MGM Grand Casino
opened last year and there are 2 new casinos that
are expected to open up this year as well. There is
always Greektown close to Downtown Detroit with
some really nice Restaurants and Clubs.
If you are in the Detroit area...Greektown has always
been the spot to 'hang out' for as long as I can
remember and it's still popular. With the Addition of
the new Casinos,It's drawing a lot more people to
a place that used to be a wasteland...Downtown
Dress Code: Greektown is a People watching spot so dress to
impress down there. Some of Detroit's nicest
restaurants are in this area.
