Easy Street: Decent Sports Bar in Gaylord

by Basaic

Easy Street is attached to the Best Western Alpine Inn. It has big screen TVs tuned to sports channels and the usual neon, beer posters, sports posters, etc. The rum and coke was strong and average priced. This bar appeared to be very popular with some locals; unfortunately they were all friends with he girl behind the bar and she was so busy talking to them I never got a chance to order a second drink. I finally gave up. May try a differnt place next time I am in Gaylord. Casual.

Frank's Press Box: Nice Sports Bar in Lansing

by Basaic

Frank's is a sports bar with TVs tuned to sporting events and the usual beer signs and posters. I enjoyed Frank's a bit more than Bennigan's. The atmosphere was much less formal and it was less crowded. The Rum and Coke was strong, and the staff friendly. They also have a wide variety of food available, not just the usual bar food. I did not try any but heard it is quite good. I saw mostly jeans, T-shirts and other casual attire.

Bennigan's: Eat and Drink in Lansing

by Basaic

Bennigan's is a chain of bar and grills that is pretty consistently good. I did not eat here just got a Rum and Coke. The Rum and Coke was fine and the service was too. I saw everything from jeans and T-shirts to a coat and tie.

Second City in Detroit, very fun!Go to the Gem Theatre and see a play. They put on wonderful plays and the Gem itself has a lot of history, they were going to knock it down but decided to move the entire building because it is a historical landmark!
