It is always a little interesting to walk through these antique stores just to do a lot of remember when and see what "junk" people have accumulated throughout the years.

We never really buy too much at these stores and in this case we browsed through this particular store for a few moments and then left to venture down main street to peruse some other small stores.

It was a little after 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon when we finally sat down for a late lunch/early dinner. Having eaten breakfast at our friends house in Ludington almost 6 hours ago we were a little famished.

Since the weather wasn't too awfully hot and the inside looked a little too dark we decided to eat outside.

Favorite Dish: Sue ordered a Summer Tea which had just a smidgeon of some type of alcohol in it while I had a regular ice tea.

Sue had the Shrimp Salad special while I opted for the Pleva Burger (Michigan cherries infused inside the burger).

The food was OK for the price. Nothing special! Would try another place in town if we were ever back in the area.

What to buy: Pentwater Popcorn

Gourmet popcorn seems to be all the rage. There are a number of shops everywhere you look offering some very unique variations on your standard everyday popcorn.

In the Midwest United States and especially in Indiana there is plenty of corn grown just for popping.

Sue is always on the lookout for popcorn, so when we ran across this this town gem she just had to have a bag for the ride back to Chicago.

The choice this time was Loaded Potato with hints of bacon, cheddar cheese, ranch and sour cream dressing and chives.

What to pay: Not inexpensive, but worth a little splurge now and then.

It's ok to have some fun while your on vacation in Pentwater, but don't let all those good times go to your head.

Obey all the local laws or else the local sheriff will have accommodations for you that you were not planning on for the evening.

If you are Pentwater during the summer may be just the place for you and your family.

Get in your van, car, open road vehicle whatever and head over to Pentwater for water sports galore.

Do a little fishing and then use the community place to clean your fish (I'm not a fisherman, and remember trying this when I was a little kid - no thank you).

Or head to the beach and play in the sand and water on Pentwater Lake.
