Most of the towns in this area are not 'party locations' so you simply need to look around for places that would interest you. There is a civic center where local plays are showed, we are in town on business many times so our time is limited to find all the hot spots.
City Park Grill on East Lake Rd. may have entertainment.
There is a bar called Leo's and next door there is a place called 'Upstairs' looks interesting but never had the opportunity.

Bear River Brewery, City Park Grill, and the Noggin Room are all some quality local haunts for the night out.
All three generally have music, most every day in the summer. Beer prices ranged from average to semi-expensive, but in general they are reasonable, and you can often find good specials.
For a little quieter experience, try the Mitchell Street Pub, also downtown. It's more of a local haunt. There may be some genuine Petoskey rednecks.
If you'd like to get beaten up by menial laborers, check out the Riverside in Alanson.
Casual, unless you are at Mitchell St. Pub or the nearby Leo's Lounge, in which case anything more than dirty overalls and a straw hat will result in you being expected to buy the bar. The CPG City Park Grill good food and dance , Papa Lou's , The Knot Just a Bar in Bay Harbor or go for a Ride LEGS INN sunday nights ! Its a Must !!! Get a DD PLEASE !~ Have fun !
well most of the Bars are the same but . . .
Legs Inn is 25 miles North and a beautiful drive up M 119 you'll get there good food too its in Cross Village Sundays are NuTz !~ well ok just alot of fun for the ppl watcher or the dancer !
hahaha it dont matter a whole lot, most ppl around here dont care how you dress thats the best part I do like to look nice my self but... that doesnt stop me from wearing jeans and a T !~ Ohh if ya get the chance Mackinaw Island is a blast for Bar hoping!*hint* go sundays then come to Legs after words, makes for a good day ! but plz get a DD !!!!
