We've been four times in two weeks! Tuesdays their special is the brisket. You can see the smoke ring in the meat. SO tender. Served on perfect homemade garlic toast with smoky baked beans (with meat). You can tell by the flavor - it's REAL woodsmoke. Adds a dimension, not a pollution! Even the potato salad, which is a throw-away filler at most places, was fabulous. When you go, get it to go, and go south 2 blocks, then east to the Zilwaukee boat launch. A dozen picnic tables, including many in the shade, clean and open bathrooms, and you can see freighters and other river traffic. A hidden gem!!
Favorite Dish: Pulled pork sandwich. No gristle, no odd bits, no grease. Just fragrant, soft, flavorful meat.

I've always liked Olive Gardens- the one on Bay isn't bad either. The staff are welcoming, and your waiter is usually attentive. If you've been to an Olive Garden before than you know the atmosphere. If not, then its a sit down kind of place, that can maintain a comfortable atmosphere even when packed. I've never had a complaint with their food except for once recently, where my seafood did not taste all that fresh. I chalk it up to my waiter just because, lol, and would definately eat there again.
Favorite Dish: I love the seafood alfredo, its always very good.

Zorba's serves some great Greek Food. I'd never had Greek food before, but I've never been dissapointed here. The ambience is ok, though coming through the entrance you pass a smokey bar, and the outside isn't "wow, cool." Lol. What speaks for Zorba's is its wonderful food and its nice, attentive staff. As far as a I know, there isn't another Greek Place in Saginaw. The employees make you comfortable, and if you order the Saganaki they light it on fire for you by your table which is cool.
Favorite Dish: The Saginaki is amazing, but I LOVE their Grecian potatoes. They are to die for! The Gyros are amazing also.

Beijing BBQ is a buffet style restaurant. Their lunch special is really cheap- I think it comes to 6.25 after tax. The ambience is nice, better than First Wok. First Walk? Lol. Food is better here too. The employees are all pleasant, and the booths are comfortable. The lights and coloring and decorations provide a good, relaxed atmosphere.
Favorite Dish: For a buffet, their sushi is pretty good! I know they used to serve sushi at First Wok but theirs was terrible. BeiJing BBQ has good wonton and dumplings. Lots of chicken, they even have ice cream which is fun to get. The lunch special, as I said, is really cheap- a bargain :)!

The food was ok- the ambience wasn't so bad. The room is really decked out. But the help are mostly really rude and inattentive. I have even been threatened by the manager when out with friends, and we left without paying a tip.
Favorite Dish: Their wonton wasn't bad. Stay away from their fried dumplings.

No restaurant I've been to in Saginaw yet really tops the Panda House in ambience. The dining area is very nice, with dim lighting that isn't too dim, along with lots of Chinese arts and crafts. The waiters/waitresses are really nice, including the owners. The food is always amazing and fresh, and you get what you pay for. In the evenings they used to have a piano player, but the last couple of evenings I spent there they weren't in so I'm not sure if they still have one.
Favorite Dish: The Almond Chicken- its just amazing :). Their won-ton soup is the best in Saginaw.

Moderate to High cost, this restaurant always serves execellent food. Although they serve more than sushi, including a wide range of Japanese cousine, they are best known for their raw fish.
It is small, with good ambience. You can sit at the sushi counter or at a table of your choosing. Inside, you get the feel of Japanese culture to go with the food. Usually not very crowded, which is a plus.
Favorite Dish: It is around four dollars average for 6 peices of sushi, and the quality is amazing. I recommend the California Roll, Eel, and Tuna.

Genjis is one of my favorite restaurants. It has a very good atmosphere. You can select private seating or you can choose to pick a table, where the cooks fry up your meal on a table that you all sit around, and performs some little tricks to keep you entertained.
As well as having great sushi, this restaurant's food has always been very excellent (especially their shrimp!). It can be a little costly, but if you find you have the means to spend a little extra, it is worth it.
Favorite Dish: Besides their California Roll Sushi, I love the Hibachi Shrimp and chicken.
