Don't try this at home

You're in Michigan's Snow Belt, what better place to give it a try? To be eco-friendly, rent a 4-stroke machine, it's cleaner and quieter.

Vanderbilt/Pigeon River Area.

Vanderbilt is easy to get to , just a minute off of I-75 at Exit 290. From there follow Old US 27 south just a mile to Vanderbilt. Then, to get to the Pigeon River State Forest, turn Left to follow Sturgeon Valley Road east about 11 miles to the State Forest.

See what I mean about daylight challenged?

I say that only because I haven't been to Vanderbilt in the summer..... Oh yeah, have a good map with you, a GPS unit is a plus, and be sure your equipment is in good working order before you leave the parking area. 3 hours out is no time to find that your binding is broken. The snow gets deep, and without your ski on it gets pretty ugly in the daylight challenged months of winter.
