You probably wouldn't see it driving through, and it's quite possible that the kids who live there now miss out on the best that it has to offer. Getting lost in the woods, building shacks, swimming in the creek, the Menominee River, or even the wilder Cedar River. There's a lot, but you'd pretty much have to be there.
Fondest memory: We built a shack in the woods south of what used to be called the cement bridge. We built it on a high area in the middle of a swampy area all around it. Although we spent most every day of the summer there, we never found it again the next spring or summer.
