Baxter Travel Guide

around Brainerd/Baxter, people enjoy more of a simple life. During the summer you'll smell the wonderful smell of a grill cooking brats or hamburgers, and at night there's always a bonfire or small campfire somewhere in the neighborhood. But when it comes to eating out, sometimes we pull all the stops, and head up to either Morey's Market and Grill.
This restaurant offers pretty much anything, from their huge assortments of cheese, to Fish (seabass, Ciscoes, salmon, etc) to seafood (lobster, crab, and shrimp) to their huge array of olives, also.
this place also has a huge fish fry on Friday nights, All You Can Eat, so dig in :)

Favorite Dish: Morey's, located close to Baxter (2 miles north on 371) serves up anything you want, a selection from the fresh fish laid out in front of you, or a menu item might serve you better, my advice is to try everything on the menu, it's all good.

Nisswa. the entire town of Nisswa, pretty much, is a tourist trap-- don't get me wrong, the area there is almost more beautiful than Brainerd/Baxter, but the town is full of novelty shops, (Really good) restaurants, and toy stores, be wary of the black holes if you go there for lunch :)
