La Crescent Restaurants

Corky's is a fantastic pizza and ice cream restaurant that also serves a wonderful selection of sandwiches and burgers! Corky's Taco Pizza is the best taco pizza I have ever eaten! Corky's makes their own dough, sauce, and sausage, and even grinds their own cheese-a special blend of mozzarella and provolone. All ingredients are fresh and the vegetables are even chopped by hand! Quality is top-notch, since at least one of the owners, brothers Mark and Troy Nolop, are always there from open to close. Corky's also has a wonderful selection of ice cream - from Pints to hand dipped Cones, to their creamy, delicious Malts. If you are looking for a burger, try the famous Corky Burger - it's a personal favorite of mine! If you're thinking sandwich, the Chicken Salad is to die for! And don't forget a cup of soup or their homemade chili (in season). The restaurant is so clean you could practically eat off the floors, since Mark and Troy have a thing for cleanliness. How do I know? Corky's is not only one of my favorite places to eat, I also used to work there! You have got to stop in if you are going to be in the La Crescent/La Crosse area!

Favorite Dish: It depends on what category!
Pizza: Taco Pizza - It is different from most other taco pizzas because they use a homemade sauce that includes refried beans and they use cheddar cheese. I also love that they never skimp on the taco chips!

Burger: The Corky Burger - This burger is served on a toasted bun and is piled high with sauteed mushrooms, cheese, tomato, lettuce and onion. To top it off, they slather it with Corky's Homemade Special Sauce - it absolutely makes the burger!

Sandwich: Chicken Salad - This sandwich is really very simple but it is the best chicken salad I've ever had, and it doesn't have weird stuff like nuts, grapes, or apples in it!
