Loacted directly acrossed the street from the Riverhills Mall on the North Side of Mankato. Not much in this little strip mall so parking is generally easy to find.
The Resturaunt has a single Hibatchi station with two grills. If you are looking to enjoy the Hibatchi show you must make a reservation in advance. The regular kitchen does a good job on the hibatchi food and the presentation is good.
The sushi is served in good portion sizes and is delicious.
Favorite Dish: Warm saki and sapporo beer. Ask for it warmed when you order, warming takes a bit of time.
Sushi Sampler was a large portion, almost a meal in itself. Sushi was very flavorful and fresh.
Main course was the Steak and Scallop Hibatchi with clear onion soup and side salad. All in all I was stuffed and enjoyed myself.

I found that most of the food in the midwest is pretty good compared to what you get in Southern California. I loved Perkins though... its just kind of a normal little restaurant but they had great breakfast. Id eat there every day if I could. Mmm... pancakes.
Favorite Dish: Eggs, pancakes, bacon, hash browns. Its all good... everything tastes so fresh.

Between St. Peter and Mankato lies the little town of Kasota. Out to the boonies a little bit and you will come across one of the last examples of Minnesota's virgin prairies. See grass that is taller than you. Walk to the bluffs and have a look at the Minnesota river. For more information check out the 'friends of the kasota prairie' website.
