Tucci Benucch: Awesome Italian!
This is a very busy, very popular Italian Restaurant located in the Mall of America. Luckily we had a reservation because the line was out the door the whole time we were there. Honestly, there was nothing super special about the decor... typical Italian restaurant. Deep, rich colors and dark woods. Some of the tables though sit outside (meaning in the mall, not in the actual restaurant) and some of the tables sit along a half wall looking out into the mall. It was a crowded place, but the noise level wasn't too bad.
The menu is quite extensive in Italian food and everyone loved everything that they ordered. The table got a few appetizers to share, our entrees and desserts to share. Everything was delicious. The martini menu is pretty cool and they were all very yummy.
The staff was professional and welcoming. The service was good.
Favorite Dish: The appetizers were by far my favorite... fried mozzarella and bruschetta with tomatoes and feta.
Tucci Benucch: Doesn't taste like Mall food...
Tucci Benucch is like a little haven amid the hustle and bustle of this huge shopping complex. It is located at 'W114' which indicates it is on the main floor, in the west wing. Consult your Mall Map and Directory which is available from Customer Services as you enter the building.
It is easily identified by all the little white twinkling lights attached to the fascade.
It is always best to make a reservation at the little podium at the entrance of the restaurant when you first arrive at the mall, as tables remain filled throughout the day. An hour or two wait is not unusual, and other restaurants in the mall are somewhat the same, except for fast food places.
Food is wonderful, as is the service. The wait staff are friendly, knowlegeable, and yet very professional. A full, complete menu is offered, and each course is delivered to your table in a quick and organized manner.
Favorite Dish: A word of caution...the soup is 'HUGE'. If you order the large size, it is served in a soup tureen, and is suitable for two, or even three people. Very filling, a meal in itself. (approx. $4)
Might I suggest either Angel Hair Pomodoro (Ma Kettles favourite), or Veal Parmesan (Pa Kettles favourite). Prices run $11 and $18 respectively. Dessert...I always order Bread Pudding.
