Park Rapids Travel Guide

The Y Steakhouse has been in the Young family for over 60 years. Tim is currently the owner since his parents died, but is training in his 30 something son, Pete, who will take over someday soon. They are friendly, Park Rapids natives who can tell you where to fish, where to shop and anything else you want to know about the area. One of the best features of this restaurant is the menu. Don't let the waitress take it after you order because you will want to read it--in fact, you are invited to keep it if you like. It is newspaper style with many stories from newspapers gone by from the Park Rapids area. History, but with a humorous human interest flair.

Favorite Dish: Any of the steaks but I especially like the steak sandwich. I also recommend the broiled shrimp or just a great burger.
