A beautiful park/garden area that has been a local favorite for years. The garden area is divided into two areas a lower and upper area divided by a residential street.
Many of the homes facing the garden have very interesting architecture and are just as interesting as the gardens.
This garden started initally as an informal garden park area in the 1930's. It is located directly on the banks of the Mississippi River and has several acres with flower lined walking paths and a pond.
The upper level (Clemens Gardens) is broken up into several more formal gardens including a rose garden. Many of these gardens (The white garden) are designed after formal British Gardens. The main centerpiece in the upper gardens is a large fountain called "The Renaissance Fountain with Cranes", which is one of the largest fountains in the state.
This garden area is an excellent place to spend time in and have a picnic. Very often you will see wedding parties here for photo sessions. There is also a peacock which occasionally walks the grounds.

The most popular is The Red Carpet and the crowd can range from young to old. A fun place to go with some friends and there is often live music on the weekends. Casual/Dressymore

Instead of going to a chain bookstore like Barnes & Noble when visiting St. Cloud I'd recommend going to Books Revisited. This is a small bookstore that specializes in buying/selling used books and tracking down rare books for you. It is located in the main downtown area on the northwest side of the Mississippi River. They have a very good mix of...more
Supposed Hauntingedge of townWhen this skating rink was built in the 1970's in a swamp, locals begged not to do so, for it had sentimental value to them. The builder dismissed their claims and built anyway. Later, it was learned that in the early 1900's, a young boy, Gilbert, lived in the area. Despite his mother's warnings not to venture too close...more
WCHA Hockey. St Cloud State Men's Hockey. They are great to watch with an awsome fan base. The place is always rocking with great competition and rivalries. Non stop action with great nachos. Tickets 12-20 bucks depending on the game.
Equipment: Pick up your tickets at the door, but warning!! many games sell out. Pick up early.
