Well...it is an icon. And it does show free market captilalism at its best. Food, products, and entertainment all under one big roof.

Unique Suggestions: Walk through the Nickelodean amusement park. But definately eat at the Twin City Grill.

MOA Mall of America----
Not really a trap but most of us never go there, the prices are a bit higher and there's not much else around it. I recommend going there on your last day on the way to the airport... it is only a couple miles from the airport so it's on your way.

The arts centre wasn't what i expected and having walked around the place, the thing i was most impressed with was the view of the Minneapolis skyscraper skyline.

The Underwater Adventure at Mall of America is a tourist trap because it is over priced. You pay $13.95 to walk through a glassed tunnel and see fish swimming all around you. It is nice but only takes about 45 minutes to see it all. In the photo is a ray petting pool. The rays don't really have any place to take a break from the crowds of people.

It's probably not a surprise to anyone, but many people
think the Mall of America is a tourist trap. Many Minnesotans, including me, only go there when they have friends or relatives in town. It does have its own theme park, but if you've seen one mall...
