This little candy shop makes the best homemade candies. they have been in business for like 100 years. Get the 'Hot Air' It is a local favorite. (their turtles are also very good, as is the fudge...) They also have lots of nice gifts, but the candy is the best!!

Land of the Loon Festival...third weekend in June. This includes a parade, street dance, arts fair at Olcott Park, with cultural & ethnic dancing & music. Also quite the assortment of different foods. It is great as long as the weather is cooperative.

Queen City Sports Palace Complex
The main floor in the Queen City Sports Palace. It is a bar with free pool & darts. Lots of TV's with sports on. They also have karoke. Downstairs is Rocco's, an Italian Restaurant.
Upstairs is Twisters, a cool danceclub, with a huge video screen & nice dancefloor.
Dress Code: Casual, although, there are some pretty wild looking folks up at Twisters...

Laurentian Divide...its just off Hwy 53 going North out of Virginia. It has lots of trails to go walking around & see the beauty of the northwoods. Lots of trees & huge rocks.
This is what they call the 'geological' border between Canada & America. From the Laurentian Divide, the southside, the water flows south. From the north side, the water flows north to the Hudson Bay. Interesting tidbit, eh?
