This is a little observation deck sort of thing on the side of a bluff, and it overlooks the whole city of Winona.
It is very cool to see all your surroundings from above. It also has information about the city and the college, and a map of Winona, so that you know what you're looking at.

This is a very busy coffeehouse, as any coffeehouse would be in a solely college town. I had to see what all the fuss was about, so I tried it, and it was very good. Nice place to go if you are visiting.
There are people of all ages here, from the elderly to middle aged to college students.

Favorite Dish: I ordered a mocha, and they were having some problems with some orders, and it took a little longer than expected, and they included a ginormous cookie to make up for it. (:
My dad had Clam chowder which was scrumptious as well.

Jefferson's Pub and Grill: Great Eat

This was a great place for some food. The only thing that was a complaint that where we were seated was a big open room, so hard to make a conversation.
It is definitely the place to be, since it was packed the day I was there, but they weren't using the extra room on the second floor, so not that busy I guess.

Favorite Dish: I had a walleye sandwich, and the sandwich was huge, I could not finish it all. And lots of yummy french fries.
The Walleye was very good, and could not get enough.

Rochester Wholesale Fruit: Cheap awesomeness

This is probably my favorite store in Winona. It is an amazing little grocery store on the outskirts of downtown. Don't let the name fool you, they sell alot more than fruit. It has lots of specialty items and everyday foods. It is just really neat on the inside, although the outside looks a bit sketchy.

What to buy: Food!

If theres a fair going on while you're here, make sure to go, Minnesotans love food on a stick! There's corn on a stick, corn dogs, pork chops on a stick, ribs on a stick, cotton candy on a stick...no if they could only put Tom Thumb donuts on a stick...Tom Thumb donuts are the BEST!!! Have some!
...don't forget the beer garden!

Supposed Hauinting
Saint Mary's College: Heffron HallTwo priests were once feuding over who would be the head of the local church, and one of the men ended up being killed by the other in one of the halls on campus. There have been many reports from students that moaning is heard in this hall from the deceased priest, and one side of the hall is cold while the other is hot, when there is no heating and air conditioning in the building. Another report came from a girl who claimed that while brushing her teeth, blood came out of the faucet in place of water. Yet one more story tells of footsteps being heard leading to the bathroom, and when the chaser caught up with the footsteps in the bathroom, he was shocked to see blood appear in the toilet.
