DaKat, I'm sorry these pictures of Spanish Moss are a little dark to emphasis the moss. It was an extremely bright day and I was not using my lighting very well.

Ahhh. Our beautiful schooners. This was the way of shipping in times gone by. We have two now. They are ran by the tourist bureau. The two of them are racing on this day.

For the most part we are a laid-back casual bunch. But we do have many cultural activities. This is the historic Sanger Theater where our Gulf Coast Symphony is in residence.

What do people like about our beaches? Well, it depends. When my Mom comes to visit from inland, she is totally infatuated by the sea gulls.

Can't you just see yourself sunning here. We have so much beach that it is vacant for miles. Young people like to congregate only in certain areas so they can be sure to be seen.
