The two nicest (and for my $, most fun) casinos in the area sit next to each other. One is Beau Rivage. This is a former Wynn casino, now part of the MGM/Mirage system. It is very similar in feel and design to the Bellagio - including the beautiful check in area. What's more - it also is home to a truly awesome buffet (please see my dining tips.) I didn't play too much here, but found the atmosphere to be a good one while I was there. There was also several upscale shopping options, as well as a fairly large logo/gift store.
Most of the casinos along the coast are fairly spread out - what Beau Rivage also has going for it is that you can walk to a different casino (Hard Rock) when you want a change of pace.
The Beau Ravage Hotel/Casino Resort, was an amazing place. From the outside, it immediately grabs your attention by the shape and beauty, with the landscaping adding to the picturesque view. So much beauty, the flowers, plants adorning the lawn, the fountain, the steps leading from the street, winding up to the terrace level, giving you a feeling of grandeur. Inside is equally impressive, the elaborate furnishings, architectural style's designed to capture the eye, and give you a feeling of royalty, of importance, as you are waited on from the moment you enter the grounds. One could get spoiled and accustomed to this…lol.
