pictured is the ruins of bryant's store in money mississippi. this store was owned by roy bryant who was the murderer of emmett till. the emmett till murder received national media attention and was in part the starting point of the civil rights movement of the 1950's and 1960's. for those interested in civil rights history money is worth the the eight mile side trip from downtown greenwood. for more information on this historic event see my money mississippi page.

money is located eight miles north of greenwood on money road.
