    the grenada masonic lodge was established in 1836 by john wilson and james sims. the current lodge was built in 1925. this neo-classical building is listed on the national register of historic places. for those interested in architecture the grenada masonic lodge is worth a look when in downtown grenada.

  • yellow fever cemetery

    on august 9 th 1878 a yellow fever epidemic broke out in grenada. the epidemic continued from august to november. there were over 1,400 cases out of a population 2,000 and 367 grenada citizens died. the dead were buried in old fellows cemetery and the newly established yellow fever cemetery.
