There is a nice veterans memorial on the courthouse grounds honorimg those veterans from Greene County who gave their lives in service to their country. Nice Tank!!

Leakesville is a small town of under 1000 located in Southeast Mississippi near the Alabama border. The population dropped over 12% since 2000. Leakesville is the county seat of Greene County. Greene County was named after Revolutionary War General Nathanael Greene. The Greene County Museum is located on the 4th Floor of the courthouse. Hours for the museum are 9 AM to 4 PM Monday Tuesday and Thursday and 9 AM to 12 PM Wednesday and Friday.
