Best Rated Transportation in Natchez

  • Natchez carriage tours

The carriage tour is about a forty minute narrated tour through the historic district. It takes you by the historic mansions and churches, while the guide gives a history of the town, houses, and the antebellum times. This is the best way to see Natchez. It's slow paced and easy going, gauranteed to relax you. There is also a night carriage tour that allows you to see the stained glass windows and the homes lit up. It is also a lot cooler at night in the summer months. The tour is $15 for adults and $5 for children under 11. Tickets can be bought at the visitors center or the drivers accept cash.

    Natchez Trace Parkway

by leafmcgowan Written Jun 20, 2005
    The Old Trace

One of the best routes to take into or outside of Natchez. Beautiful.
Beginning the Natchez Trace Parkway - Coming from historic Natchez, the Trace can be entered from Liberty Road as of May 2005.

0.0 - 8.1 - is the temporary terminus junction of the Natchez Trace with U.S. 61 that served as a temporary beginning/end of the Trace. There is work on extending the trace all the way into historic Natchez. (Source: sign post on Natchez Trace Parkway)
