While on the river, visit the Ameristar Casino - or at least view the outside of it. This is Vicksburg's largest casino which floats on the Mississippi next to the old Vicksburg bridge. There are 1400 slot machines and 50 tables.

Copa Casino: Gulfport

This casino is a 500 ft cruise ship which is permanently docked in the Port of Gulfport. It is the only locally owned and operated casino on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It certainly makes you sit up and take notice driving along the beach on Hwy90.

There are 825 slots and nearly 25 tables. Also Uncle Floyds World Famous Barbeque restaurant, Cabana Cafe and 3 bars.

We spent the most fun nite ever walking around this little amusement park right off the beachfront highway in Gulfport! We played minigolf (18 holes, with one in particular that we liked. It was an ant hill and you could choose the 'easy way' or the 'hard way' to go through it....our crew chose the hard way and lived to tell about it!), rode a carousel, and made wishes on the wish-board! Great fun!

Tunica, MS -- pick a casino: Tunica, MS -- pick a casino

The whole concept of major gambling in Mississippi is strange and weird, but if you can't make it to Vegas, stop by Tunica. They've got all the games, and they've got the classic Mississippi hospitality, so you feel OK about losing all your money. It's just a short drive from Memphis, so combine a trip to Northern Mississippi with Elvis and Beale Street. (Check out my Memphis page for more information.)

Casinos: Hard Rock Casino Biloxi

The Hard Rock Casino Biloxi is a great place to go if you wish to play Blackjack, slots, or whatever you like. There is a Ben and Jerry's located inside; as well as a Hard Rock Cafe. This is also a hotel. My personal experience here was I lost $40 pretty quick. It didn't pay out very well, but your luck may be better!!!

The casino's are always packed at night.
The Grand casino, in Buluxi, has a seperate building for kids and teens with VERY tight security to make sure they are safe, so you know they are having fun and you don't need to worry.

The pirate ship is actually the Casino. The hotel part is way to the front of the property and there are shuttles that will take you from the hotel to the Casino.
