I wanted to take even more pictures as the sunset got more brilliant. But, guess what? I had taken so many pictures during the day, the battery ran out of power on my digital camera. Bummer! I managed to get 3 or 4 before the camera completely died, however.

But all good things come to an end. We were pleasantly tired as we aimed our Goldwing in the direction of our home. Almost the entire trip back was alongside beautiful white beaches. The sunset caught our eye. We stopped and took a series of pictures as the sun slowly fade away. If you do not live near the ocean, eat your heart out...LOL

Our Gulf Coast has many working lighthouses. Here is a booth that is creating miniture versions of some of them. Want to see more light houses from all over the world? Real ones? Well, go to my friend Simone's excellent page containg lighthouses from many of her VT friends. This page is 'LightHouse Point'.

The purpose of this booth is sad. The little boy they are raising funds for was attacked by a shark. His leg and arm was severed. His uncle wrestled the shark onto the beech and they retrieved his arm from the stomach of the shark. This little boy remains in serious trouble. He has been in and out of the hospital with complications. He cannot talk, walk, and has only recently become kind of aware of his surroundings. A fellow VTer 'DeDecker' routinely has asked me for updates on the condition of this little 8 year old boy.

This blue pottery was fantastic. When the artist saw me taking a picture, he came over and asked me if I was taking pictures of his work so I could copy his design. I laughed and told him I was not that talented. He graciously pointed to my camera and said, 'Well, it takes talent to do that'. I assured him his talent was much higher of the scale of artistic talent...

There was top quality entertainment interspersed through the booths as you walked through the streets. This was an excellent band with a girl lead singer.

And here is an interesting fountain forged out of metal. I added a little interest to it by capturing Barbara's image in the mirror on the fountain.

Even the sea gulls and the pelicans though this was not a bad sunset. They lined this broken pier and watched as it set into the water.

These are real, believe it or not. They have somehow added some sort of permanent glaze over these crabs to produce a work of art.

Here you see the master puppeteer making one his puppets dance (music was playing). A little girl came from the crowd simply mesmerized for a up close and personal encounter with the dancing puppet.

This artist had the unique talent of first finding the right piece of drift wood, then carving and painting ONLY a portion of it, leaving the rest of it natural. Now THAT'S talent...
