Luggage and bags: Everyone who travels to mississippi should bring plenty of water along with them, especially when going in the summer, and a mosquito repellant. Mosquitos are one of those great nuisances Mississippians have to live with.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: If you plan to go to really rugged areas, you might want to bring some boots along with you.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: For the beach, remember to bring sun screen ! The mississippi sun is unforgiving!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: For summer: light clothing, sunscreen, sandals.. it is very hot.
For winter: most of the time a heavy jacket will work
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: If you are camping make sure you take bug repellent. Misquitoes are always thirsty.
