  • Paula Deen Buffet at Harrah's Casino

HUGE buffet - modeled after Paula Deen's home. There was always a line to get in, but it is quite large inside (the website says 560 seats!). The food was very good - I didn't get the "buffet" taste, you know? Food was always fresh, and even something as simple as the macaroni and cheese was incredibly tasty.Hubby and I were comped (we had points...

  • Not quite Nevada-sized

The Courtyard Buffet is located in the Gold Strike. Dinner prices are $15, which isn't too bad. There are a few stations that they had - salads, breads, Asian, American. carvery, hot veggies, Southern cooking, and of course, dessert. Most of the food I had was pretty good. The one complaint (coming from someone used to Vegas buffets) is that there...

  • Remember to tip the casino staff

Remember to tip the restaurant staff, cocktail waitresses/bartenders, dealers, and anyone else who makes an effort to make sure you have a good time (even the room maids if you ask for something extra). Tunica Tourist Traps

  • by kahiwa Written Aug 24, 2002

Those who are familiar with the name 'Bally''s', don't book a room at this casino. It's a very small, ugly, farm-like structure. The casino is separate from the hotel, and is small, farm-like, and smoke filled. It's also far from other casinos. Not worth visiting, and I certainly would have been severely disappointed if I booked a room there and had to stay there.

Tunica What to Pack

  • by KRC11 Written Feb 7, 2007

Luggage and bags: The usual for any trip.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: During the summer months it's very hot and humid in Ms. you need shorts, swimsuits etc.
But i recomend takeing a few heavier tops or long sleeved shirts. The casino's have the air up full and you may find some areas cool especially in the evening.

  • Horseshoe Casino's Fabulous Blues...

In the midst of all the casino overkill, there is one oasis that stands out. It's the blues museum inside the Horseshoe Casino. I wasn't expecting to find anything of more than passing interest inside it, but I certainly was delighted with the rarities I found behind the glass cases. The musical items there are priceless indeed, and it's incredibly...
