Favorite thing: Inside the home of Elvis you see the simplicity his parents lived in.
The interior and the house were built bij Vester, Vernon and their father in 1934. Here you see the fireplace with the radio next to it.
This is one of the two small rooms in this house.

Favorite thing: Even if you're not an Elvis fan, I think you'll still enjoy a visit to his birthplace - I'm not and I did.
The two room cabin in which Elvis was born has been preserved as near as they can get it to how it was between 1935 and 1938. It looked and felt authentic.
On the same site there is an Elvis museum and gift shop - both of which I preferred to the Graceland versions (but, hey, I'm not a fan). There's also an Elvis chapel - not as mawkish as you might expect - and playing areas and pitches for the local children.
The helpful and knowledgable staff are clearly all fans or else very good actors.
