Dating from the 1840s, this is a privately owned house, but it is interesting to catch a glimpse of it anyway. Its location right on the Missouri River bluffs must have inspired the painter Bingham.
It seems to be a modified version of the "dog-trot" style popular on the frontier in the early 19th century.
Favorite thing: A simple frontier house. . . When you are out and walking about in Arrow Rock it's very easy to feel as if this place has been frozen in time.
