Bonne Terre Things to Do

  • Bonne Terre Mine

The old Bonne Terre Mines is worth a visit just to see the lake. The mines are massive with rock formations everywhere from the water. The lake has unbelievable visibility of at least 150 ft. They have underground pontoon boats that you can go on a tour of the various chambers in the mines and if you're a diver, it's rated as one of National...

We stopped on the way back from St. Louis to Farmington to eat, and ended up at Don Rosener's Homestead Restaurant, which was a buffet. The Lions Club meets there and the first and third Tuesday. But we were there on the fourth Tuesday.

The other possibilities would have been:

    # Bonne Terre Dairy Queen
    # C B Joe's Barbeque Inc
    # Club 67 Stakehouse & Bar
    # Crossroads Restaurant & Lounge
    # Depot The
    # Hard Rack Restaurant & Billiards
    # Hardee's Restaurant
    # Huddle House
    # New China Chinese Restaurant
    # Shamrock Restaurant & Lounge Inc
    # Subway
    # That Pizza Place
    # Whistle Stop Saloon

Favorite Dish: We were quite happy with our choice.

They had meat loaf, fried chicken, fried fish, fried chicken livers and gizzards, salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread pudding, brownies, cobbler and soft ice cream. Dinner was $7.45.
