This attraction was being built when we were in Branson in the winter of 2006. It was not open and I doubt that I would have gone, even had it been open at the time. Not only am I not in the least interested in the Titanic (have not seen any of the movies), but the building itself is historically inaccurate--the Titanic did not "ram" the iceberg. Rather, she scraped by, causing hull plates to buckle and rivets to pop, which allowed the water to get in. Also I think having such at attraction far away from any ocean coastline makes it clear that it would be pandering to the lowest common denominator. But I'm saying that without having actually been to it. YMMV I have been completely unable to figure out (on line) what the price is for this attraction, but you can buy tickets and also memoribillia on line. As you enter Marvel cave this is last daylight you will see. Marvel cave is where Branson all started. It was the first tourist attraction near Branson. The cathedral room is huge. It is over ten stories high and nearly as wide. Leave a Comment Address: UNDER Silver Dollar City.Other Contact: Made a travelogue with photos of

Missouri wines are not well known outside of Missouri, but are excellent. The vintage outlet in Branson is worth visiting, not just for the free tour and samples, but as a place to purchase your table and aperitif preferences. Tours are free at the Branson location and run every 15 minutes. Note: Wine sales do not begin until 11 a.m. on Sundays. Leave a Comment

SDC is a place that shouldn't be missed when visiting Branson. It has something for everyone! There are great thrill rides, fun family rides, and even an area for the tiniest members of the family. There are shows that everyone can enjoy together. My brother and I saw a BMX stunt show during Kidfest a few years back and we're going again this year!! The food is great, try the bbq chicken plate! If you get there early you can see the opening show of the day. Members of the SDC cast sing some patriotic songs and raise the flag before everything opens. It's a fun way to start the day at the park Leave a Comment Address: Branson

The Chinese Acrobats absolutely amazed me. I saw other shows in Branson that I thought were entertaining or funny. This is the only show that I thought was astonishing. You can see some of the great feats they perform in my travelogue. Awe inspiring and incredible feats. We would watch one incredible performance after another. Dixie Stampede is a show owned by Dolly Parton. The show consists of silly races involving pigs and chickens, tells the story of the North and the South in the civil war, and displays many beautiful, intricate costumes with exciting actors. The show was great, but the food was even better. During the show you are served your meal-minus silverware!! The food was delicious and the show was fun. This is a must see for any family. Honky tonk recording artist Mickey Gilley owns and operates the steak house and the theatre. HIs house bend is the best on the ridge, featuring a great solo guitarist, several female vocalists, and a comedic slide guitar player. Inside you will see the mechanical bull ridden by John Travolta and Debra Winger in the Hollywood movie 'Urban Cowboy' in which Mickey Gilley was a featured performer. Next door is the smokehouse restaurant with mesquite grill aroma that fills the air, beckoning your hunger to be satisfied. Leave a Comment

As the Blue Velvet theater owned by Bobby Vinton this theater has decor that is furnished and decorated in velvet telegance. More commonly or popularly known known now as Branson Variety Theater, this is a performing arts center for dance & song reviews and themes. Opened in 1993, the Blue Velvet Theater evokes the elegance and grandeur of a bygone era. Borrowing from the extravagant era of plush movie palaces, the theater aesthetic features hand-painted ceiling murals, blue-dyed floor tiles and blue carpeting with a gold record motif, and hand-wrought iron railings imported from Spain. For more on Vinton and his theater, please see www.bobbyvinton.com. This is not a country-western music theater, but instead offers the most variety of performances and performers. Leave a Comment

This is Silver Dollar City's splash town. I warn you that you will get wet there. Silver Dollar city is a fun place for the young and old. There are rides and shows and great food. Best of all are the crafts there. The shows at 'SDC' are almost as good as the shows you'll pay big bucks to see in Branson.
