    Barry County Courthouse

by Basaic Updated Apr 16, 2014

Cassville is a town of about 3300 (up 13% since 2000) located along Missouri Highway 37 in Barry County in Southwest Missouri. The planned layout of the town was drafted in 1845. Cassville is the county seat of Barry County; which was established in 1835 and was named for William Barry, a postmaster from Kentucky. There are several parts of the nearby Roaring River State Park listed on the National Register of Historic Places, along with an archeological site and a ranger station. The county courthouse is really not that interesting, but since I collect photos of courthouses I wanted this one too.

Cassville Restaurants

Great menu variety with steaks, pasta, daily lunch specials and fine BBQ ribs. Unique recipes, light to hearty fare, in a delightful atmosphere. Feels like an upscale restaurant, but has the prices and friendliness for casual family dining.

Favorite Dish: Sirloin steak is terrific smothered with provel cheese and mushrooms. They have a seasoned broccoli side that is so tasty it could be a meal in itself.
