If you go to Concordia, stop by Central Park, which is next to City Hall. In one corner of the park is the Statue of Liberty. It was dedicated in 1959 at the time the statue in New York had repairs on it's arm.

There is a new museum on 6th Street, one block from S. Main Street (on the same side of the street as the Lutheran Church and City Hall, not on the side of the street of the Concordia Bank). However, the groundskeeper said it would not open until January, 2003.

I consider any place that is not on S. Main Street as off the beaten path for Concordia. On 6th Street (subject to this editor's correction), one block (100m) from S. Main Street is the grain elevator and post office. Both are on the same side of S. Main Street as the Concordia Bank and on the opposite side as the Lutheran Church and City Hall.
