In the park near old down town area on Main street you will find this spring. It is the spring that the town is named for.

Simone's is a little drive in place. Look for small white building with a shade awning for cars to park under.
Favorite Dish: I had a double cheese burger with cole slaw under it and chili on top. It does not sound good but the sweet slaw and spicey chili complimented each other in a unique way.

Address: Located on highway 54 near west side of town.
Watch out for characters like these when you go to El Dorado Springs. They have Historical Hysteria Day the first Saturday in May. (I got this photo from the Wayside Inn Museum. At the front door is a basket full of photos. The sign says to take any you want as the ones in the basket are left over.)

Miscellaneous: Eldorado Springs seems to be a casual place. You won't need to pack up any antique toys. You can see plenty of them in the old hotel.

Miscellaneous: Won't need to pack a flag. The local boyscouts put this on in front of the museum. (Once again this is not a photo I took. I got it from the basket at the museum. Thought it was nice of them to give the pictures away like that.)

On Main street is a sporting goods store and gun shop. Up the stairs is a museum that takes up the entire second floor of the shop. The museum is free.

Favorite thing: Eldorado Springs is named for the mineral springs in the center of town. At one time the waters of the spring were thought to have medicinal qualities.
Fondest memory: Being there with my wife on a perfect June day and visiting the park.
