Mark Twain Dinette: Nice Little Diner
$14 as of August 2014. This smoke-free, family oriented restaurant has been in business for 72 years, and is located next door to the Mark Twain Home & Museum. My waitress was pretty good and the food was tasty. Worth a try! Hours are 6 AM to 8 PM daily.
Favorite Dish: Cajun Catfish although I like mine a bit spicier.

Rustic Oak Riverview Dining @ Sawyers Creek: Great Steaks and view!
Enjoyed the view of the mississippi river, it just flowed on by. The food and desserts were great. We had steaks and Giant Chocolate Truffles....yum. Sara (dorry if i didn't spell it rite)was our server and she so very helpful and the kids really enjoyed her personality. Next time we are in Hannibal we will be back! Sit back and enjoy....thank goodness there is a place you can get real homecooked food.
Favorite Dish: The Giant Chocolate Truffle

General Store: Eat Here, Get Worms
How many people do you think stop for a bite at this place, a combination general store, roadside diner and bait shop? This certainly is not Maui's Haile Mailie General Store! I wonder if the "Eat Here Get Worms" combination was inadvertent or a sly restaurant review by a disgruntled employee. However, this place across the Mississippi from Hannibal wins my award for the best restaurant sign I've ever seen!
....Needless to say, we did not eat here, even though we eventually found ourselves starving on our return trip to St. Louis. If we're going to get parasites in our food, we'd prefer not to know it up front!
