Pearl Street Grill: Only Restaurant in Downtown
Despite the ample retail and restaurant space in Harrisonville's old downtown, there is only one bar and one restaurant. Both are located within restored buildings and are worth a visit. I didn't visit the bar that's across from the old courthouse steps, but I did have lunch at the Pearl Street Bar and Grill that is located just off the main square, across from old police station, on Pearl Street. The collection of antiques and collectibles that decorate the place are worth the visit to the place alone, particulary since there's a whole room devoted to Elvis Presley. Other collectibles related to veterans and vintage flight are also interesting. The food is well conceived, if a bit conventional. I had a sandwich and can't complain about either service or menu. See the plate picture below. I had a barbequed pork sandwich. This place is part of a completely restored building and is smartly run.

Pearl Street Grill: Have lunch with Elvis
Pearl Street Grill is right on the square in downtown Harrisonville and appears to be the hub of a lot of local activity, as it is the meeting place for numerous civic and political organizations as well as a hoppin' place for breakfast or lunch. The decor is an interesting collection of bicycles and auto stuff and with an Elvis room including a life size statue of him and his guitar.
The Grill is only open for breakfast and lunch and I think is closed on Mondays.
Favorite Dish: The food is basic American fare, but quite good. They serve breakfast anytime so I had a nice omelette with a delicious biscuit. Some of our party had sandwiches with their homemade potato chips which are also very good.
