I love this park because its really convenient (right off Highway 6 in Kirksville--opposite direction from Walmart off of 63). You can take a picnic and lay by the water and go hiking or whatever...it's just a nice way to relax! They also have an incredibly overpriced restaurant and you can rent canoes or paddleboats by the hour for relatively cheap prices!
Please, see my tips on this park. It is only three miles from center of town. Lots to room to swim, picnic, use your boat and hike! There is a really large lake, that I would need a boat to see all of it. Here are two photos of the lake.
