Lake of the Ozarks is one of the largest man made lakes in the United States. The largest lake in Missouri. From Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend there will be a party at Party Cove. Its location is not secret; all you need is a boat. In the late morning and early afternoon, hundreds if not thousands of boats - from jet skis and pontoon putt-putts to sleek cigarette boats to 40- and 50-foot yachts - are all headed at idle speed in the same direction. Have a designated driver for the boat, because the water police are out and will enforce the law. Once you get there tie up to the other boats there or anchor off and start a new line of boats. My suggestion if you don’t have a boat is get a group of friends and rent a house boat. They have plenty of room to sleep and much easier to walk around on than a lot of other boats. It’s an all day event, that doesn’t end at the cove. Get back and clean up for a nice dinner and then out to a club. It's an experience at the Lake that will last a lifetime and is great fun.
