Applebee's: This one is REALLY special

Applebee's: This one is REALLY special, Maryville

just4funds Says:  This Applebee's just opened in early 2004, so it's very clean and fresh. The service is great, staff was mainly eager college kids ready to please.I know, it's Applebee's. Just remember, you're in Maryville, MO. Your choices are going to be pretty limited, so don't bother...

Pagliai's Pizza: Quality Homemade Pizza

Pagliai's Pizza: Quality Homemade Pizza, Maryville

just4funds Says:  We had the pizza delivered to Burny's Bar, and it was incredibly good. Theirs is a "to-the-edge" style, thin crust, with more than ample toppings. Don't expect your average chain-store pricing, and delivery was extra (we had 2 large pizzas and 3 orders of mozzerella stix.)...

A&G: Steak!

A&G: Steak!, Maryville

just4funds Says:  They've got your typical variety of appetizers, salads and dinners. It's a comfortable place, but a little bigger than your typical small-town coffeshop so I don't want to say "cozy" and confuse people. They do have a separate room for larger groups. The Christmas lights on...

Pagliai's Pizza: Pagliai's Pizza

Pagliai's Pizza: Pagliai's Pizza, Maryville

principesa Says:  It's just a cute little privately-owned pizza place. They actually almost put the local Pizza Hut out of business! How's that for loyal patrons?!? pizza...duh! although they have good spaghetti too.

Nightlife

Outback: Clubbing, Part II

Outback: Clubbing, Part II, Maryville

just4funds Says:  The other hangout for the college crowd. Hands down the largest spot in town, with a huge bar (okay, we're still rural here) and not the dark dungeon you'll find at Molly's. Here they have a two-tiered dance area, filled with plenty of ambiance. The DJ seems to be more...

pobrecita Says:  hhhmmmm... I think there are a couple of small college bars there, but honestly, even though it's a college town, it's kind of a sleepy, old-people town. But that's really partly why I like it so much. I definitely don't go there to party...

What to Pack

Packing List

Packing List, Maryville

principesa Says:  I only stayed last time for 5 days, so I just took everything in a carry-on, plus my purse. That way, I avoided completely the wait at the luggage carousel. :o) Casual clothes - there's nothing really fancy in Maryville, it's a very laid-back college town. I was glad,...

Mozingo Lake Golf Course

Mozingo Lake GC was a pleasant surprise. Some business associates I know moved their league play to Mozingo Lake this year. It is a very well kept public course which combines rolling terrain with natural prarie grasses. This makes for a very tough combination when you're not quite a "straight-shooter", just like me. Prairie grasses are no friend of the bad golfer, they actually eat your golf ball and you will never see it again.

Equipment: They're not too picky. Just bring some golf clubs.
