The appetizers we had were very tasty and well presented. They are mostly-maybe open only for events any more since traffic died down in the Recession today. They have another restaurant in Briarcliff nearby so this got eclipsed. About 4 decent restaurants are in midtown, but all must be suffering since tourism declined

Stone Canyon is a local favorite. They are located right downtown Parkville near the shopping area. Their menu includes their specialty, Pizza, along with sandwiches, and salads. Their specialty pizza's make them unique.
The atmosphere is casual and friendly. They also have a full bar.

Yes, this building really was their local power plant and was constructed in the early 1900's. It was opened as a micro-brewery and restaurant in 1998. The restaurant is all brick with minimal windows, so it seems a little dark inside. It seemed to be a bit quieter atmosphere. The food is good, but probably a little more expensive than average.
They have Big League Poker every Wednesday night.

I began noticing this marvelous aroma as I neared the building. I peeked in the window and saw crowds of people. What could be more enticing than a single store that specializes in fine coffees and home-made fudge? But fudge is way off my diet, and if I drank any more coffee this day I would never get to sleep that night. I reluctantly pulled myself away and headed to my car. I will be back.

This is a newer restaurant in Parkville. I've not yet eaten there, but it looks clean and very nice, and I will be trying it very soon.
