Davidp1952 Says: The campground at Montauk State Park. The Current River begins at Montauk Springs. The trout hatchery makes for excellent fishing. Cabins are also available at a reasonable price.
This is a funky, ramshackle, meandering old place with a screen door in the middle of nowhere. People in the know drive to The Vichy Y for a casual meal or just a burger and fries. Its 13 miles north of Rolla. Im not sure if the restaurant even has a name---the VIchy Y is the highway intersection where it is located.
Favorite Dish: In this atmosphere, everything is good.
