Almost a century ago, August A. Busch Jr.'s father purchased a piece of Missouri farmland once plowed and planted by Ulysses S. Grant. Today, the country estate of the Busch family, Grant's Farm, is preserved as a home for more than 1,000 exotic animals from six continents.
The beautiful oasis can be seen courtesy of Anheuser-Busch, Inc. An open-air Eisenbahn coach winds past Mirror Lake to Grant's Cabin, which was completed in 1856 and remains today as the only structure hand built by an American president. The fence across from the cabin was constructed from 2,563 rifle barrels as a Civil War memorial.
The coach travels through The Deer Park where more than 100 species of bison, elk and antelope to zebras, llamas and ostriches can be seen. You can pet and hand feed some of the animals and attend the entertaining, educational shows featuring African elephants, parrot and birds of prey at the Tier Garten Amphitheater. Admission is free. Bring your camera and take home special memories
A great place dedicated to people use
Grant's farm is an amazing place where the family can take an outdoor afternoon to walk around and enjoy the grounds. There are performing acts at certain stages along the way to enjoy. There are animal acts. The grounds also have petting areas, and farm animals to get with. You get around by taking a tram. Drop off in the main square near the horse stables is where they let you "sample" some beer.
It is a great tribute of the from dedicated by the Bush family. They also live on the grounds. The Grants' farm home is also a site to see. It has tours inside and a pleasure experience.

The Budweiser Brewing Company,is located at St. Louis, you can visit also the factory at Mississipi River, just outside of downtown.
At Grant's Farm, you can try the new Budweiser beers for free also!!! :-)
This is a wagon full of Budweiser beers!.
Grant's Farm is the 280 acre "country" estate of the August Busch family (of brewery fame). Part of the property was originally farmed by Ulysses S. Grant whose wife, Julia Dent, lived nearby. The Busch family bought it and about 50 years ago opened it for the public. It is just outside the city limits and is perched in the middle of the inner ring of the suburbs. It is a great place for young and old, and like so many St. Louis attactions, entry and tour are free! The tour starts by boarding a train which takes you through the park to the Tier Garten. Sometimes they tour the farm first and sometimes after the stop at the Tier Garten. During the trip around the farm you will see hundreds of animals from many continents. The Busch family has always been interested in wildlife conservation and they adopt and care for many animals from around the globe. The scenery is beautiful.
Once at the main stop, you will leave the train and spend your time walking around, looking at the animals, watching performances, listening to docents explaining various topics about the animals, and last you can go into the walled beer garden and enjoy a complimentary sample of beer or other Anheiser product. The beer garden is modeled after an old time German estate and you feel like you are in Germany. The Busch family houses some of their horses, carriages, and trophies in the stable there and you can see it all. It is a very relaxing, easy going day!

Where the Buffalo Roam
Once the home of President Ullysses S. Grant, this farm south of Saint Louis has been converted into an animal sanctuary and family destination. They offer a guided tram ride throughout the deer park and a beer garden to cool you off on a humid summer's day. A great place to bring the family. Admission is free as is the tram ride. Paking is $8.

You must go to Grant's Farm....
You must go to Grant's Farm. It is the farm once owned by Ulysses S. Grant. Now it is owned by the Busch family. Anheuser-Busch makes Budweiser beer. At the farm there is a zoo, live animal shows, a train ride, and this square that reminds me of the families German heritage. There is a carriage collection you should not miss.
Opposite the main part of Busch farm are the stables where they keep the famous Clydesdale horses. I enjoyed seeing those big and beautiful horses.
Horses & Beer
Go to see the Budweiser Clyedales stallions and mares at Grants farm and tour the Deer Park. Make sure to take your camera to take pictures of the peacocks and llamas. Open April to Oct. Also tour the Busch Brewery and see the traveling teams. Brewery tours are year round.

This is a great place to take small children
Grant's farm is a very nice place to visit. It is geared for families and children. The grounds are beautiful, and yes, Ulysses S. Grant has an original home here.
There is a small petting zoo and animal shows with the "big rap up" being the tram ride through the grounds.
This is Anheuser-Busch's way of extending out it's "Beer Family" to your family. It is a way of saying "back off your Uncle for slamming down so many Budweiser products because Beer companies are family oriented companies". Yes, they do give away small quantities of free beer.
This has animals to see , you go round by little train (relax) keeps children amused and there is a little walk round section when you get off the train but for the adults there is a outdoors seating area where you can get your free budweisers and you can try the new beers they have on offer , i had a bareknuckles.
