Did you read the National Geographic article on Steelville? It was really poorly done, highly innacurate and misrepresentative for the most part, but did have a few bits of truth to it. Like everywhere else, most folks are nice, a few are not, but things do move in slow motion compared to a lot of other places. Just show a little respect...don't tell anyone how wonderful the city from which you come is because of all the metropolitan aspects and how lame it is that there's not a Starbucks or whatever in Steelville. And, if you have a flat tire or need a ride, don't think waving money around or acting important or impatient will get you anywhere but left on the side of the road.
