Hammons Pantry is located 4 blocks north of the main square. It is the show room and visitor center for Hammons Products Company. Stockton is the Black Walnut Capital of the world. At Hammons you can buy black walnut candies and learn about the harvesting and production. I learned that ground black walnut hulls are used when working on jet engines. You should try some of the free samples. I had some and they were sooooo good. You can find out more at the company web sites... www.hammonspantry.com or www.black-walnuts.com. They even gave me a small pamphlet with black walnut recipes in it there.
