I was here after the beach closed, but thought you might like to know the park has a sandy beach & beach house with showers, etc. Here's a photo I took. There's a floating platform to swim out to. I bet that's popular with young people. Plenty of parking nearby. Nearby, there are picnic tables, covered picnic areas and a small playground, too.

I visited on a Sunday, but it was too cool out to picnic or swim! I didn't even see any boats on the huge lake. They must have been there, somewhere, but I wasn't aware of any.

I drove past a few picnic areas, very nice, with wooden tables & built in cooking grills to use. Some had playgrounds, too. This one has a great view of the lake! I stopped here and walked around, taking a few photos. There's no charge to picnic here, apparently.

See another tip to see the beach.
