    Take a Hike...

by meltedfrootloops Written Mar 27, 2008

...In Glacier National Park, that is. My sister works in a gift shop here during the summer, and my family and I have been to Glacier multiple times. It's beautiful scenery, a great way to see some wildlife, and have a relaxing day.

    Bigfork Inn: Bigfork Inn

    by 807Wheaton Updated May 22, 2009

This restaurant is on the road coming into Bigfork. We did not eat here - wish we had known it was here as the reviews on tripadvisor are great.

Brookie's Cookies: Cookies, Muffins and Rolls, Oh my!

by ReetSLP Updated Jul 18, 2008

Mmmmmm...Brookie's Cookies is a great little bakery. It sits in a very pretty spot in front of a brooke (hence, the name?) which is in front of a river. There is a little patio out back where you can sit and munch on VERY tasty goodies (try the Flathead Monster Cookie or an enormous cinnamon roll) and enjoy the sounds of water flowing and the sight of wildflowers growing. I've only been there twice, so I'm sorry I can't give better details.

The Bigfork Inn: Weekends are the best at...

by meltedfrootloops Written Mar 27, 2008

The Bigfork Inn has great food, a historical Bigfork atmosphere (since the early 1900s), and souvenir gifts to purchase (i.e. dressings, syrups, sauces, other memorabilia), but the best aspect of this restaurant by far is the band that plays on Friday and Saturday nights. People have been going here to dance to the band on weekends for ages, but I just started going when I learned that my sister and some of her friends went swing dancing on weekend nights at - where else - the Bigfork Inn. It's a ridiculously fun time, and with the food, dancing, conversation and laughter, a great way to spend an evening.

Favorite Dish: The Fruit of the Forest Pie is the best dessert here - Rhubarb and other fruits are combined to make an absolutely delicious pie.
For a main course, I recommend the Cajun Shrimp Pasta.

    Two River Gear

    by 807Wheaton Written May 22, 2009

Most of the shops and businesses have a western appeal. There is plenty to see and do in Bigfork. After being there, I think it would be a good base to stay for several days while enjoying the outdoor activities.
