    TROUT, TROUT, TROUT

The Bitterroot River runs for about 84 miles and near and in Hamilton, the beauty of the surroundings makes the river seem like the place for total relaxation. All types of trout: Brook, Brown, Rainbow, Cutthroat, and Westslope Cutthroat. Hamilton is a great town to bed down in, right in the middle of the action, with restaurants such as the Spice of Life. See the Fishaus Fly Fishing for fishing details.

Equipment: Artificial lures only and catch and release on Cutthroat. Fly fishing is very big as is float fishing.

Lake Como is THE place to go on a hot summer day. Well the river is nice too but Lake Como is the place to go to kayak, canoe, sail, jetski, swim, fish, hike, camp, and sunbathe.

Equipment: One thing you do need is a day pass which you have to buy in Hamilton before you leave town. Cost $2.

I am not a fisherwoman, do not even like fish really. But working at the restaurant for so long, I know most of the fishing guides around here and have met people from all over the United States who come here every year to fish.

Equipment: Most people have to bring nothing because they hire a guide, advisable because even though our river looks tame it is very dangerous if you do not know it.
