This is the kind of place where truckers sign up for a chance to win a free dinner. The diners who aren’t truckers are locals who all seemed to know each other. We were the only tourists there when we stopped in. The service was friendly and efficient and the cooking was simple and good.

You can order off the menu, but if you’re in a hurry there’s also hot and cold food ready to go in a deli case.

There’s a small casino room off the dining room, if that’s your thing. If it’s not your thing, it’s not noisy or distracting.

It's open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It’s that kind of place. I’d be happy to go back again anytime I’m hungry in St. Regis.

Favorite Dish: Fish and chips is a good choice. Nicely cooked, not greasy. Comes with fresh lemon and real lettuce - not iceberg. Omelets are also a good choice. Three of us ate lunch here for under $20, exclusive of tip.
