This truly is a one-stop shop next to the Super8 motel at Big Timber. Within the blockhouse - I can't think of a better description, for it is just that, there is a Country Skillet Restaurant, A Town Pump convenience store, an ATM, a hot dog takaway and a small casino with bar. With all of this adjoining the motel and a Conoco gas station you have pretty much everything you could need for a stopover whilst driving across Montana on the I90.
What to buy: The Country Skillet serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is a classic example of the archetypal American Diner with its formica tables and friendly waitresses. The Town Pump sells everything from cigarettes and liquor to non-essentials such as food and toiletries and even has a clothing department.
And of course there are restrooms.
Yep, pretty much everything you could require!
What to pay: And nothing is particularly expensive!
Shopping in Montana is all abound. If your into fun shopping, where you can walk along the street side and look into window displays, like old times, then Buttes Historic Uptown is for you. Missoula is the shopping hub for western Montana. Where as Billings is the shopping hub for eastern Montana. But even little towns you are driving by have little shops of their own.
